Wheaton vs Roger Williams University


Wheaton swimmers ventured to Bristol, RI yesterday for their first dual meet of the season against Roger Williams University. The women's team came out victorious 175.5 to 121.5 while the men fell short 104 to 192.

Freshman Caroline Isaacs was the first to win an event, taking the 1000 freestyle in an impressive 11:29.25. She was quickly followed by Sarah Millers win in the 200 freestyle, Kirstie Parkinson impressive win in the 50 breaststroke, Taryn Brosnan in the 200 and 50 butterfly, Dania Piscetta in the 200 backstroke and the 200 IM, Nicole Zais in the 200 breaststroke, Sarah Houlihan in the 500 freestyle and diver Julia Wright captured wins in both the 1 meter and 3 meter diving events. The men had a more difficult time getting their hands on the wall first, but managed to capture wins in the 200 freestyle (Sam Dean-Lee), the 200 butterfly (Charlie Western) and the 50 butterfly (Zach Fichman-Klein). See complete results here.

Both teams are fired up for their next meet against WPI and Brandeis, October 31st at Wheaton.
