Wheaton swimmers took to the water on Saturday to compete in the annual pentathlon. Each swimmer swam 100 yards of the 4 swimming disciplines; fly, free, back, breast (in that order), and the 200 IM. This year junior Zach Fichman-Klein beat out all the men by more than ten seconds, finishing in a time of 6:11.92. Junior Dania Piscetta won on the women's side by more than twelve seconds in a time of 6:39.60. Great job everybody! See top times below:

Wheaton Swimmers compete in annual Biathalon
Every year, before all Wheaton students take a break from their studies to celebrate the long Columbus Day Weekend, the Wheaton swimmers compete against each other in a grueling swim in the pool plus a road race around campus - The Biathalon. The race consists of an 800 yard swim, a 2.2 mile run and 12 underwater swims. Junior captain Corey Best and senior captain Iris Meehan captured the title for the second year in a row. Congrats guys. White vs. Blue (Alumni Weekend)
This past weekend, Wheaton swam their annual White vs. Blue vs. Alumni meet at the Balfour Natatorium. Wheaton Alumni swimmers included NCAA qualifier and Wheaton school record holder Barrett Roberts as well as '07 graduate and current assistant coach, Zach Hicks. Some of the standout swims included Sarah Houlihan, Caroline Isaacs and Devon Best in the 200 free, Nicole Zais and Barrett Roberts (22.49) in the 50 free, Sam Dean-Lee in the 100 free, Dania Piscetta and Corey Best in the 100 fly and Nicole Zais and Sarah Miller in the 100 breast. Sophomore diver Julia Wright also dominated the boards. At the end of the day, it was the white team that came out victorious!

Wheaton Men begin their season...
Wheaton swimmers hopped in the pool Monday September 28th and began training for what looks to be a very exciting season. Heading up the men's team is lone senior John Ahern and junior captains Corey Best, Sam Dean-Lee and Ben Sabol. They are joined by fellow juniors Zach Fichman-Klein and Eddie Gillie as well as lone diver, Jon Gold. Filling out the sophomore roster are Devon Best, Charlie Western Christian Woods, Trevor and Spencer Deans, Andrew Oliveri, Alex Hosey, Dylan Caldwell and Cole Larson-Whittaker as well as newcomer Guive Rosen. The freshman team is comprised of Griffin Hanley and Sam Neill. Stay tuned as the men attempt to surpass last years impressive season.

Filling out the junior roster are NCAA qualifiers Nicole Zais, Dania Piscetta, Steph Perkins and Sam Ferrell, as well as Kathleen Dwyer, Alisha Wilson, Sara Hollar and diver Emma Chaiken. The sophomore team is comprised of Taryn Brosnan, Sarah Miller, Catherine Army and divers Julia Wright and Alex Wilson. A solid ten freshman round out the Lyons roster, including Caroline Isaacs, Elle Van Cott, Dana Auger, Katie Bordeau, Vanessa Fuchs, Julia Kusiak-Carey, Tarryn Rourke, Leah Willis, Kirstie Parkinson and Kristin Duquette.
